In July 2007 Sir Mack Rice performed at the Cityfest, (a.k.a. the Tastefest), Detroit, MI. He was joined by RJ's Rhythm Rockers and other wonderful friends. Click here for some great photos from the show.
Sir Mack Rice was in Italy this July performing at the Porretta Sweet Soul Music Festival. This year the theme was a “Tribute To Stax 50th Anniversary”. Click here to see some terrific photographs of Sir Mack Rice and his friends at the Festival.

Check out this great article about the February 23-26 2007 Stax 50th Anniversary. The celebration included a special concert featuring Sir Mack Rice and the Bo-Key's performing some of Mack's classics. During the show they were joined by Eddie Floyd, William Bell, John Gary Williams of The Mad Lads, and J. Blackfoot and Norman West of the Soul Children for a unexpected jam session of "Knock on Wood". There were journalist and fans there from all over the world. It was an unbelievably great time. Colin Dilnot is a journalist, writer, and executive record producer. He has a blog called In Dangerous Rhythm. On February 18th, 2007 he posted a story about Sir Mack Rice. Dilnot writes, “the standout track on the [Get That Money] CD is the re-working of one of his old tracks "Right Now" called "Right Now, America" which demonstrates he can still do it!!!” Click here to read the post.

In November 2006 Mack Rice and the RJ's Rhythm Rockers had 'em on their feet and dancing at the 2006 Motor City Blues & Boogie Woogie Festival. The American Music Research Foundation event featured Sir Mack Rice, Calvin Cooke, Alberta Adams, Johnnie Bassett, and the Howling Diablos. On June 28, 2006 I had the honor of performing at the Rock and Roll Hall of fame in Cleveland, Ohio as part of the “From Songwriters to Soundmen: The People Behind the Hits” special program.
